Inamuragasaki Cape
稲村ヶ崎
A cape jutting into Sagami Bay, famous as one of Kamakura's best sunset spots. It's also a historic site where Nitta Yoshisada is said to have crossed in 1333 during his assault on Kamakura. Now maintained as a park, it offers a spectacular view of Mount Fuji, Enoshima, and the Miura Peninsula on clear days.
A spectacular sunset spot
Inamuragasaki is renowned as Kamakura's finest sunset spot. At dusk, the sun sets breathtakingly behind Mount Fuji, Enoshima, and Sagami Bay, drawing many photographers to gather for the moment. On clear winter days, the crisp air makes Mount Fuji especially visible.
The legend of Nitta Yoshisada
In 1333, Nitta Yoshisada is said to have crossed at Inamuragasaki while attacking and toppling the Kamakura shogunate. According to legend, when Yoshisada threw his sword into the sea and prayed, the tide receded, allowing his army to cross. A monument to Yoshisada stands near Inamuragasaki Station on the Enoden line.
Inamuragasaki Park
The cape is maintained as Inamuragasaki Park, a pleasant place for a walk. From the tip of the park you can take in views of Shichirigahama Beach, Enoshima, and Mount Fuji. It's also conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Inamuragasaki Station on the Enoden line.

🌸 Spring (Mar-May)
In the clear spring air, the contrast between Mount Fuji and the sea is beautiful. There aren't many Yoshino cherries here, but a sea-breeze walk is pleasant.
🌿 Summer (Jun-Aug)
A summer sunset sinking into the distant sea has a special beauty. You can also watch the surfers at Shichirigahama Beach.
🍁 Autumn (Sep-Nov)
Autumn into winter, when the air is clear, is the best season to enjoy the sunset and Mount Fuji together, and with sunset coming earlier, it's easy to catch.
❄️ Winter (Dec-Feb)
On clear winter days, Mount Fuji appears vividly. Bundle up and you'll be rewarded with a spectacular view.
