Yokohama Landmark Tower
横浜ランドマークタワー
The skyscraper symbolizing Minato Mirai. This complex, which includes the "Landmark Plaza" shopping mall and the "Dockyard Garden" event plaza, is beloved as a starting point for sightseeing in Yokohama. The 69th-floor observation floor "Sky Garden" is closed as of 2026 for major renovation work (expected to reopen in 2028 or later).
The landmark of Minato Mirai
Opened in 1993, this building stands 296m tall with 73 floors, and was for a long time one of Japan's tallest buildings. The lower-floor "Landmark Plaza" is lined with shops and restaurants, offering enjoyment even on rainy days. The "Dockyard Garden," an outdoor plaza that preserves and repurposes the former Yokohama Dock, hosts seasonal illuminations and projection mapping events.
The Sky Garden observation floor is currently closed
The 69th-floor observation floor "Sky Garden" is temporarily closed as of 2026 due to major renovation work on the building, with reopening planned for 2028 or later (please check the official website for details). If visiting specifically for the view, check the reopening schedule beforehand. Even while closed, the lower-floor shopping and Dockyard Garden remain open as usual.
