Completed in 1930, this cargo-passenger ship operated on the Yokohama-Seattle route. After surviving World War II, it was retired from active service, moored at Yamashita Park for preservation, and is now open to the public as a museum ship.
Art Deco interior design
The first-class social hall and smoking room retain their Art Deco interiors, conveying the atmosphere of a luxury liner of the era. Notable passengers include the comedy legend Charlie Chaplin.
